What time does the school day begin and end?

School begins at 7:45AM for grades 7th-12th and 8:00AM for PreK-6th grades. PreK-6th grades are dismissed at 2:45PM and 7th-12th grades are dismissed at 3:00PM.

Does Hollywood Christian School have Bible classes and chapel?

Bible is an integral part of the curriculum at Hollywood Christian School and is a required subject taught daily in every grade. Students assemble for chapel on a weekly basis in grades PreK-12th.

Are students who graduate from Hollywood Christian School prepared for college?

Yes. Current Hollywood Christian School seniors meet college requirements and have been accepted at many colleges and universities including: The University of Notre Dame, Wheaton College, University of Florida, Florida Gulf Coast, Florida State University, Palm Beach Atlantic, Atlanta Christian College, Florida International University, Liberty University, Campbell University, Lafayette University, University of Central Florida, Florida State University, Samford University, and Florida Atlantic University, to name a few.

What dual enrollment and advanced placement course options are available to students in the high school?

Hollywood Christian School partners with local and online colleges to provide dual enrollment options for students. In addition to these courses, an honors track is offered to students in grades 7th-12th grade in science, math, social studies and English. Academically accelerated students may also be eligible for membership in the National Honor Society.

What does Hollywood Christian School offer in Enrichment Courses?

Students are currently offered courses in Physical Education, Performing Arts, Band, Music, Computer Graphics, Spanish, Media, Art/Ceramics, Computer Networking, Personal Leadership, and Robotics.

Does Hollywood Christian School have standardized testing for students?

Students in grades 5K-11th are tested each spring using the Stanford Achievement Test. In preparation for college admissions testing, secondary students are required to take the ASVAB and the PSAT.

Does Hollywood Christian School offer an after school care program?

Yes, After Care hours are 3:00PM-6:00PM on a contract only basis. Drop-off is not allowed.

Explain your lunch program.

HCS’s cafeteria provides a variety of hot and cold lunch specials, as well as soups, fresh fruits, salads, wraps, and “made to order” subs. Students may also purchase food items A la carte to supplement lunches brought from home. A la carte lunches are not available for Preschool and Kindergarten students; a complete meal must be purchased. The cafeteria also offers a hot breakfast from 7:00 AM to 7:30 AM. All food and services are provided by a third-party vendor, My School Chef. Students who do not take advantage of the lunch program are highly encouraged to bring a meal from home along with a nutritious snack.

What are the steps to enroll a child at Hollywood Christian School?

To apply for enrollment, an Application for Admission form must be submitted with a non-refundable application fee per student.

Included with this form must be a copy of the last two years of the student’s report card, the most current achievement test scores, a copy of the student’s birth certificate, current health forms, a copy of the Social Security cards from both the student and the parent, and a copy of the parent’s driver’s license.

An admissions test may be required if a student’s academic do not do not adequately show the ability to work at the level of our existing curriculum.
